What are Sub-studies?
MSBase Registry members may form what are known as study groups or Sub-studies.
The MSBase Registry collects observational data only and each centre is required to obtain appropriate ethics approval to contribute their data to the registry. The ethics approval should automatically cover participation in all the Registry sub-studies that use observational data only.
The prime purpose of a sub-study group is to undertake multi-centre research on a sub-set of the Registry global dataset to the objectives of the sub-study.

MSBase sub-studies continue to accumulate data, however their patient enrolment status may be open or closed, if the target has been reached.
